So I really love to tie dye. My mom got me started on it when I was in elementary school and it has always been one of my favorite crafts. I love that there is a science to it. I know that if I mix the dyes properly, fold or twist the fabric properly, that I am going to get basically what I am anticipating. Its always like Christmas though at the end when you un-rubberband them and rinse them out and see how they turned out. I’m not a big wearer of tie dye, but I gift the s$*t out of it. I am getting better with my designs and techniques and have been doing a lot of onsies for baby shower gifts. Here is an example of the spiral pattern that I really like. I also recently made a bunch of t-shirts for some friends kids for Halloween costumes (they’re going to be hippies). I remember when I was in middle school, I tie dyed everything, I think I had tie dye sheets for about every bed in the house. Anyways, that was my trip down memory lane. The beer I enjoyed while making these was Eel Rivers Organic Acai Berry wheat beer. I am typically not a huge fan of wheat beers, but this one was a much drier wheat beer and the acai added a great flavor to it. I wouldn’t drink it a lot, like I said, I’m not a huge wheat beer fan, but it would be an AMAZING beer for summer! Enjoy!
